Hey let's get this small talk stuff out of the way, I'm Alex. I've been born and raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana USA. I graduated from Ball State University (chirp chirp if you will) in May of 2019 majoring in both Spanish Linguistics and Human Resource Management. Whilst at Ball State, I wasn't. I took a semester to study abroad in Granada, España. This was my first time immersed in a Spanish community giving me confidence to use what I know. At Ball State I also took some classes about teaching English as a second language. This peaked my interest in Spain as well as teaching English. After graduating I returned to Spain through the Auxiliar program and to work as an Auxiliar de Conversación.

Currently I am I am a dual language immersion teacher, spending my days teaching Spanish, science, and math through the Spanish language. I have obtained my Indiana Teaching License and TENL License through course work at Purdue Fort Wayne. During my time here I have become very language focused. I had the opportunity to attend several conferences and present at one during these last three years. I consider myself oriented to making a significant impact on the lives of the students that I work with in and out of the classroom. I am always eager to apply the experience and skills that I have obtained throughout my education at Ball State, life events, and career to the environment that I am in.
